2012 Mardi Gras
While many of the Mardi Gras Parades have been scaled back since Hurricane
Katrina, South Mississippi is still going to have our Mardi Gras Parades to
bring enjoyment to the local communities.
As with previous years Parades, getting stuck in the traffic around a parade is
a bad experience. Gulfport is having 2 parades this year. The first parade can cause some traffic problems for
visitors to Dogwood Ceramic Supply.
On
Saturday February 4th, the Orange
Grove Carnival Association will be parading through the streets of Orange Grove
(Gulfport). The parade starts at
2PM and takes place at the western end of Dedeaux Road and a portion of US Hwy
49. For customers coming from the west and all local customers, please use Lorraine Road (MS Hwy 605) to access
the eastern end of Dedeaux Road and Dogwood Ceramic Supply. Refer to the
local
map for additional directions, refer to the directions for customers
coming from the east for landmarks. Local customers may be able to use Three Rivers Road to access
Dedeaux Road but expect traffic to be slow moving due to diversions of local
traffic from Highway 49. Customers coming from the
north, please use MS Hwy 67 and Mississippi 605 to bypass the Hwy 49 traffic.
2012 Price Adjustments
Dogwood Ceramic Supply's website is being updated to reflect 2012 Prices. The 2012 Price Adjustments webpage has the list of pages of products and services that have been updated, those who are waiting to be updated (meaning the prices on the website are NOT current), those pages that will be updated in the near future as well as those pages that are unknown at this time

Overglaze Price Adjustment Effective Immediately
Effective immediately, Duncan metallic overglazes have incurred a price adjustment. As Duncan has mentioned previously, the metallic overglazes will be priced at market value with or two price adjustments per year. The last price adjustment for this class of products was November 1, 2010.
Dogwood Ceramic Supply Comment
The retail prices for the overglazes has been adjusted on our website. Mother of Pearl and Essence will not incur a price adjustment and are anticipated to remain at current prices for 2011-2012.
In Stock from Creative Paradise
Yep, they are Fleur molds... Fleur-de-lis that is. Dogwood Ceramic Supply already has the Creative Paradise SG-59 Fleur-de-lis mold in stock joining the SG-58 Pine Cone Mold that was released just before Christmas.

New Business Hours for 2011
Effective January 2011, Dogwood Ceramic Supply will reduce our business hours on Thursdays by 1 hour. The new hours will be from 1PM to 6PM. All other business hours will remain the same.

While Emily's official title is Director of Personnel, unofficially she is tasked with chasing squirrels and dust bunnies as well as inspecting all incoming packages and boxes for doggie treats. Hurricane Katrina
The spirit of Mississippi may have been stressed, but it was never broken:
While we remember the past through pictures and memorials, we must also move forward. The Mississippi
Gulf Coast is rebuilding and hopefully even growing larger and stronger. New restaurants are opening almost daily, shopping malls are being planned and new apartment and home starts are leading
the nation. On the clay side of the world Dogwood Ceramic Supply is expanding our products and services and there are a number of pottery and ceramic studios
that are opening along the Gulf Coast. Maybe there really is a silver lining in every dark cloud.
