Sprig Molds for Clay
The Sprig Molds by Creative Paradise, also known as press molds, one piece clay molds or pottery molds, are highly detailed plaster molds that have many uses for potters, ceramists, and clay jewelry artists. Clay is depressed into the mold, the absorbent plaster evenly draws moisture from the clay body which limits cracking and sticking, and when the clay has dried to the leather hard stage, the design is removed for further drying or attaching to other clay objects.
Creative Paradise, has developed an entire line of sprig molds specifically for use with clay as pottery molds. The depth of the design is perfect for adding the sprig (design) unto thrown or molded clay shapes or for use as clay jewelry. SG Prefix Numbers are the actual Creative Paradise Sprig Molds. Product numbers are mostly consecutive, however there are a few missing product numbers. The missing numbers are assigned to Creative Paradise's Creative Critters, a series of molds for the young elementary school age students to accomplish simple clay projects, or other similar molds not routinely purchased by our customers. As Dogwood Ceramic Supply does not routinely stock these molds, we have elected to not display the photographs on our webpage. The missing sprig molds are available with advance order.
The Creative Paradise Sprig Molds with the simple Numeric item numbers belong to the traditional ceramic mold line of Creative Paradise. Dogwood Ceramic Supply has included these molds with the Sprig molds as the molds may be useful with moist clay as well as slip cast.
