Texture Slab Molds
Creative Paradise Texture Molds, also known as texture slab molds, are detailed one piece plaster slabs that have the texture (embossed pattern) across the entire face of the mold. Hand built or rolled slabs of clay are firmly press against the mold to acquire the details of the texture mold. The absorbent plaster evenly draws moisture from the clay body which limits cracking and sticking as the clay dries to the leather hard stage. Upon reaching the leather hard stage, the embossed clay slab is removed for further drying, assembly or attaching to other clay objects.
Creative Paradise has developed an entire line of texture slab molds, specifically for use with moist clay as pottery molds. All Creative Paradise Texture Slab Molds are manufactured using USG #1 Pottery Plaster for strength and durability.
