Duncan Envision Glazes

   Duncan Envision Glazes are gloss glazes ranging from bright, vivid glazes to soft, pastel glazes all designed for low fire (Cone 06) firing. The entire selection of Duncan Envision Glazes are Nontoxic and Dinnerware Safe when properly fired to Cone 06. Duncan Envision Glazes consist of 91 total colors, 39 of those colors are Translucent Gloss Envision Glazes that will self antique if the object to be glazed is heavily detailed, 40 of the colors are Opaque Gloss Envision Glazes, and the remaining 12 colors are Speckled Gloss Envision Glazes that are either translucent or opaque.

   All Duncan Envision Glazes are available in 4 oz bottles, most colors are available in 16 oz (pint) bottles, and select colors are manufactured in 1 gallon bottles. Dogwood Ceramic Supply stocks all available sizes and colors. All colors share the same retail prices.

Envision™ Glazes

    Envision Glazes work with a variety of decorating techniques and produce a distinctively smooth and elegant appearance in colors ranging from opaque to transparent. All are safe for use on food containers.

Basic Instructions:
1. Apply to shelf cone 04 bisque.
2. Apply 2-3 smooth, even coats. Let dry between coats.
3. Fire to shelf cone 06.
4. Clean up with water.

Tips & Techniques:
1. Envisions move very little during firing, so apply them with smooth, even strokes.
2. Different colors of Envisions may be placed directly next to each other with little or no running of colors.
3. Envisions may be fired in a kiln used for leaded products, but it is best to separate leaded and nontoxic loads.
4. Most Envisions are overglaze compatible. Always refer to label instructions for proper application and usage.
5. Most colors may be mixed together to create custom colors with no changes in application or performance.
6. Envisions reds and greens can be fired simultaneously with no special precautions.
