North Star Equipment Catalog

North Star Equipment is the premier manufacturer of slab rollers, extruders and related pottery equipment and accessories in North America simply because of North Star's attention to details, quality construction and the absolute best warranty in the industry*.
NorthStar's attention to details places safety first above all all considerations. Just take a look at the table legs to all of the NorthStar slab rollers. The 14-gauge steel has finished to achieve a smooth edge. Many of North Star's competitors used straight cut metal on their table legs and frames and most don't even bother to paint the exposed metal. Smooth edges are important on exposed metal surfaces to keep the user, especially children in the classroom, safe. The extra time and cost taken by North Star to smooth the edges of all exposed metal allows their competition to be less expensive, but isn't user safety more important than saving a few pennies on the equipment?
The NorthStar Equipment warranty is pretty good as well. Lifetime on most items. Building quality equipment is important. Building equipment that you expect to last the life of the user takes a very special company.
Safety, attention to details, quality construction and the absolute best warranty in the industry, is there any wonder why North Star slab products can be found at major universities and production pottery studios world wide?
North Star products are made in America!

Jumbo Porta Roller Clay Card Eligible |
When the standard Porta Roller just ain't quite enough, there is the Jumbo Porta Roller. Technically the Jumbo Porta Roller is the North Star Polaris CT-500, but we have named it Jumbo because it really is a Porta Roller that has been supersized with the 24" roller found on larger slab rollers |
| Every North Star product is designed from the ground up to be shippable via UPS to save the consumer money, even on the heavy slab rollers.
That said, it is often advantageous to combine North Star products with other equipment or supplies into a single money saving motor freight (YRC) shipment. For example, a large North Star Slab roller can ship with most Paragon Kilns from the Dogwood Ceramic Supply warehouse for as little as $25 and in some cases no additional freight charge above the freight charge paid for the kiln itself. |

Absolute Best Warranty in the Industry*.
* How good is the North Star Warranty? When Hurricane Katrina struck the Mississippi Gulf Coast there were a large number of North Star Super Series Slab Rollers that were immersed in salt water from the huge storm surge of the hurricane. Dogwood Ceramic Supply contacted North Star and spoke to Bob and Rhonda who said "don't worry, North Star's Lifetime Warranty will take care of the problem". So Dogwood Ceramic Supply contacted every customer we could locate and packed up every slab roller that could be found to be returned to North Star. Dogwood paid the shipping to return piles of rusting steel and bent aluminum rollers to the North Star Factory. North Star rebuilt every slab roller to good as new condition. This level of service is what Dogwood Ceramic Supply calls the "absolute best warranty in the industry"
