Are there MORE Paragon kilns? Oh, yes, many, many more listed on the Paragon website. Some kiln are classic designs from yesterday, other kilns are for specific customers or markets. And there are some kilns that are very similar to other kilns.

The kilns listed below are good examples of kilns that are similar to the best selling Paragon kilns featured on Dogwood Ceramic Supply's main Paragon Kiln Catalog page. In some instances there may be only a small difference in size or temperature ratings between the kiln models. For most customers the similar kiln featured on main page of the Paragon Kiln Catalog will be the better value.

Please note, none of these kilns on this page are actively stocked by Dogwood Ceramic Supply. All of these kilns are available for shipping from the Paragon factory direct to the customer in a process called "drop shipping". The smaller kilns will be shipped via UPS to the customer while the larger kilns will be shipped via motor freight (truck). Some of the larger kilns can be advanced ordered for pickup at Dogwood Ceramic Supply (which is designated with a "showroom price").

The Paragon TnF 28-3 is the classic large top loading kiln from Paragon. With the introduction of the Paragon Viking-28 the sales of the Paragon TnF-28-3 declined. The TnF 28-3 remains popular with schools purchasing a kiln to bisque fire greenware prior to being fired in a gas fired kiln as well as production studios that do not need a high performance kiln for stoneware and porcelain. Dogwood Ceramic Supply keeps the Viking 28 kiln in stock due to the higher popularity. The TnF 28-3 is available for drop shipping from the Paragon factory or showroom pickup with advance order.

Rated to Cone 8, the Paragon TnF 24 is unable to reach Cone 10 due to the use of thinner insulating fire bricks than the Paragon TnF 24-3 or Paragon Viking 24. The use of thinner wall bricks does have an advantage as the kiln chamber is 1" wider than the kilns with 3" wall bricks. Dogwood Ceramic Supply keeps the Paragon TnF 24-3 in stock as the kiln is more popular than the Paragon TnF 24 due to the energy saving 3" brick design and the higher temperature rating of the kiln.
