Fine Print for Paragon Kilns
Pricing & General Information The Paragon kiln prices published on Dogwood Ceramic Supply's website are valid until January 12, 2009, and are available for all customers without restriction. Dogwood Ceramic Supply's discounted prices on Paragon kilns will NOT be lowered or raised at any time during the year. However, please be advised that freight charges are subject to change without advance notice. All posted prices do not include options, such as the furniture kit or KilnVent. All prices for kilns and accessories are nonnegotiable. Several of the large kilns, as well as a few midsize box kilns, are best suited for delivery by motor freight due to their size, shape or weight of the shipping crate. These large or bulky kilns have been designated DSO (Drop Ship Only).
Dogwood Ceramic Supply offers discounted prices on Paragon Kilns through two separate sales methods: 1. Paragon kilns are shown in our showroom and may be purchased from our warehouse stock. For customers within driving distance of Dogwood's Gulfport Mississippi location, Dogwood's showroom price will typically represent the best value as there never any additional freight or handling charges for these kilns and the kilns are immediately available every business day of the year. Please be advised that all kilns in Dogwood's inventory are subject to prior sale and Dogwood Ceramic Supply does not absolutely guarantee the availability of specific kiln models or optional features. 2. For customers outside of the immediate area Dogwood will ship the kiln from Paragon's factory near Dallas Texas to the customers location. This service is called drop shipping and is the best means of providing kilns to customers that require the kiln to be shipped to their location. The prices for kilns which are drop shipped are lower than the showroom price, as there is a significant cost associated with handling and warehousing kilns every day of the year, however freight costs are added to drop shipped kilns which offset any savings versus the showroom price.
Drop Shipping Kilns & Freight Information Freight Charges are based upon distance and service provided. For ease of customer use, Dogwood Ceramic Supply has developed a freight table that calculates freight charges based upon the customer's location. The chart uses the customer's state and includes special rates for some specific cities or areas. The posted freight costs are the normal freight costs for commercial delivery and includes liftgate service for delivery as well as the furniture kit and other normally purchased accessory items. Restrictive Access Deliveries, including schools, churches, prisons, military bases, hospitals, construction sites and residential deliveries are subject to a "Restrictive Access Delivery" charge. Limited Access Deliveries, and interline or non-direct points are subject to additional charges. Traffic Congestion Surcharge applies to Metro New York City and several other highly concentrated urban areas. Kiln furniture is very dense and as such allow kilns to be shipped at a less costly freight class than kilns being shipped by themselves. Thus the computed freight charges are based upon the kiln and the matching furniture kit being purchased and shipped together. For kilns shipped without the matching furniture kit the freight charges must be hand computed and are typically $30 to $80 higher than the published freight rates. For complete information regarding freight charges, please refer to Paragon Freight. Factory Freight Free: Dogwood Ceramic Supply has worked with Paragon to establish a Factory Freight Free program to service customers purchasing the largest Paragon kilns as well commercial customers purchasing multiple kilns. The Factory Freight Free program was designed for commercial locations with loading dock. Additional charges for liftgate service, restricted access or limited access delivery may apply. The Paragon Factory Freight Free Program also applies to any combination of Paragon kilns that exceed $6000 or more at Dogwood's selling price.
UPS charges: Some small Paragon kilns are specifically designed for UPS shipping. As with motor freight charges, UPS charges are based upon distance and service provided. For complete information regarding UPS shipping charges, please refer to Paragon UPS Charges.
Production Lead Times: For kilns that are drop shipped from Paragon's factory, typically allow 2 to 6 weeks for manufacturing. Kilns produced from the square kiln line (including Dragons, Super Dragons and large front loading kilns such as the GL 24 and Janus 24) will require the longest production time while kilns produced from the round kiln line (most top loaders such as the TnF 27-3) will take the shortest period of time to manufacturer. Transportation time for kilns that are drop shipped are usually 1-5 business days.
