    The Paragon Janus 27 is based upon the #1 selling Paragon TnF 27-3 Pottery Kiln and combines the high firing capabilities of the TnF 27-3 with the ability to slump and fuse glass like the Fusion series of Paragon kilns.  Like the TnF 27-3, the Janus 27 is a true work horse of a kiln with a great internal volume and Cone 10 firing capability.  The TnF 27-3 was nicknamed the "Short and Wide Kiln" by Dogwood Ceramic Supply, as the top edge of the firing chamber is only 35" above the ground creating an easy to load depth, while the 28" width combined with 22 ¼" depth creates a tremendous 8.11 cubic foot internal volume that can easily handle schools and large production studios.    The Janus 27 is identical to the TnF 27-3 in size and shape and adds the element in the lid design from the Paragon Fusion series of kilns for even firing of glass.  The Janus 27 takes the Fusion series of kilns one step further by being able to handle wider and taller glass objects than any of the Fusion kilns.  All in all, the Janus 27 is Paragon's most versatile kiln.

    Freight charges are based upon the customer's location.  Please refer to Paragon freight information for complete information including special rates and any adjustments to the basic freight charges for your specific location.  The standard freight charges includes Liftgate service, the furniture kit and most common accessories that may be added to a kiln purchase.

    For kilns shipped without the matching furniture kit the freight charges must be hand computed and are typically $30 to $80 higher than the published freight rates.

Liftgate delivery is always included in the shipping costs for kilns that are drop shipped from the Paragon factory.

Call for prices on multiple kiln purchases

    The Janus 27 is stocked by Dogwood Ceramic Supply for over the counter purchase by local and regional customers.  The shipping crate is approximately 42"w x 47"d x 42"h.   Please bring a truck with an adequate width bed and no bed cover, as this kiln, even when uncrated (uncrated height approximately 33"), will not fit into many SUV's or vans.  The in-store price ($1950.00) is slightly higher than the drop shipped price due to warehouse and handling costs, however there are no freight charges for over the counter purchases from The Showroom inventory.  The price of the accessories remains the same as the drop ship prices.

Explanation of Options for Round Kilns

6" Tile Racks shown in Paragon TnF 27-3 Short and Wide Kiln.  The Short and Wide kiln can hold a total of 16 6" Tile Racks, each Tile Rack holds 9 tiles or a total of 144 6" tiles per kiln load. Using a deeper kiln, such as the 29" deep Paragon Viking 28 would not increase the tiles per load as the individual tile racks are approximately 10¼" tall.
