    The Paragon Viking 24 is truly a high performance kiln with 14,400 watts of power heating 7 cubic feet of interior space that achieves a true day-in day-out Cone 10 kiln.  The Viking 24 is the same 29" depth as the Viking 28, but is only 22.5" wide to fit in narrow spaces while still having sufficient firing capacity to handle schools or production studios.  The Viking series of kilns use high amperage elements and mercury relays, thus the Viking 24 requires direct electrical service using #4 wiring and 70 amp circuit breakers.  Like other deep kilns from Paragon, the top brick row of are blanks which are less susceptible to damage during loading than a standard grooved element brick found in other brands of kilns.  The use of blank brick at the top of the kiln also allows the kiln to be 2" taller than other brands of kiln, thus increasing the quantity of wares to be fired while also allowing easy user replacement of the brick should it become damaged during usage.
     While the Paragon Viking 24 is equipped with the Paragon LiteLid for ease of opening the kiln lid, the kiln does have a drawback in that the depth of the kiln can be difficult to load.  The top of the wall bricks is approximately 41.5" above ground.  Customers considering the Viking 24 may want to consider the easy to load TnF 27-3.

    Freight charges are based upon the customer's location.  Please refer to Paragon freight information for complete information including special rates and any adjustments to the basic freight charges for your specific location.  The standard freight charges includes Liftgate service, the furniture kit and most common accessories that may be added to a kiln purchase.

    For kilns shipped without the matching furniture kit the freight charges must be hand computed and are typically $30 to $80 higher than the published freight rates.

Liftgate delivery is always included in the shipping costs for kilns that are drop shipped from the Paragon factory.

    The Viking 24 is stocked by Dogwood Ceramic Supply for over the counter purchase by local and regional customers.  The shipping crate is approximately 36"w x 41"d x 49"h.  Please bring a truck with an adequate width bed and no bed cover, as this kiln, even when uncrated (uncrated height approximately 41"), will not fit into most SUV's or vans. The in-store price ($2150.00) is slightly higher than the drop shipped price due to warehouse and handling costs, however there are no freight charges for over the counter purchases from The Showroom inventory.  The price of the accessories remains the same as the drop ship prices.
