Pottery Books
The clay and pottery books sold by Dogwood Ceramic Supply includes serious academic pottery books for use as high school or college textbooks as well as books that are inspiring compilations of fun pottery techniques. Historically, the best ceramic and pottery books were published for use as college text books and as such were filled with great information in a rather boring format with few photographs typical of any academic book. In recent years many ceramic and pottery books are compilations of articles and projects written for periodical and journal publications and contain full color photos of exciting instructions with inspiring discussions. Regardless of the actual purpose of the ceramic and pottery books, when compared to other industries, the typical printing runs for our industry tend to be quite limited. Some of the more popular books are reprinted, occasionally with updated material, while other books are simply allowed to permanently go out of print. Dogwood Ceramic Supply does not receive advance notice of the book's publication status and as such the long term availability of the titles listed on this page is subject to change without notice. However, whenever possible, Dogwood Ceramic Supply does indicate on this webpage the titles remaining in our showroom inventory known to us as being permanently out of print with the publisher.
Discounts are available on quantity purchases (6 or 12 copies of a title) for the studio or classroom. Actual discount rate varies according to the title and publisher.
