Cone 4-6 Stoneware Clays

   

   Seeley's Clay is manufactured by Ericson Fired Arts.  The moist clay is packed in 50lb cartons, with two 25lb blocks of clay sealed in plastic bags per carton, ready for immediate use or long term storage.  All MOIST clays are labeled in compliance with ASTM D-4235 and bear the AP NON-TOXIC seal of the Art and Creative Materials Institute.

    Dogwood Ceramic Supply has actual fired clay samples on display in our showroom and on this web site.

  

1202 Ginger  Stoneware clay firing to an orange color at Cone 4, a warm Terra Cotta at Cone 5 and a rusty brown at Cone 6.  Clay is formulated for throwing and hand building.  Shrinkage 11.0%.

1204 Toasted Almond Stoneware clay with 3% grog which fires to orange-brown color at Cone 4, with brown speckles at Cone 5 and to a deeper brown at Cone 6.  Clay is formulated for throwing and hand building.  Shrinkage 10.5%.

Prices are valid as of April 01, 2008.  Clay prices may be adjusted every 90 days due to rising fuel and freight costs.

Additional Shipping Information

    Clay can not freeze, and all small package and freight carriers refuse to warrant their shipments against freezing damage.  Therefore, it is recommended that clay NOT be shipped during the winter season if the day time high temperature at the location of the customer or any freight servicing terminal between the shipping point and and the customer is below 28°F.

    Please note, clay is virtually impossible to damage during shipment, as such, Dogwood Ceramic Supply does not use additional packaging materials such as double boxing and Styrofoam box liners for UPS shipments.

    Seeley's Clays are packaged in 50lb cartons, with two 25lb blocks of clay sealed in plastic bags per carton.  The 50lb cartons of clay are labeled in compliance with ASTM D-4235 and certified NON-TOXIC.  The individual plastic bags of clay are not labeled for resale. 

    Dogwood Ceramic Supply has a loading area and provides forklift service to load quantities of clay.  If the customer is unable to accept palletized loads, the customer is responsible for off-loading the clay from the pallet into their vehicle.


    The 3000 lb and 12,000 lb rates apply to a clays purchased in pallet (3000 lb) quantities of each clay desired.
