Since 1946, Seeley's Ceramics has been dedicated to the fired ceramic arts producing clays and slips for the professional and hobby ceramic and pottery industries. Seeley's emphasis is on stoneware products for the pottery industry including moist clays and high fire stoneware casting slips as well as porcelain slips and related products for the doll making industry.
Seeley's products include:
History of Seeley's Ceramic Products: Seeley's was started in 1946 by Mildred and Vernon Seeley, and since 1977 has been owned and operated by Rolf Ericson. The company is located in Oneonta New York with manufacturing, office and training facilities all in one location. In 2005 the Seeley's product lines were split into two divisions. The Seeley's name continues as Seeley's Doll Company, the marketing company for the doll making products including porcelain slip, while Ericson Fired Arts handles the manufacturing of all stoneware and porcelain products. The Seeley's name will continue to be used with the stoneware slip, moist stoneware clay and stoneware bisque during the transition period. Dogwood Ceramic Supply is one of Seeley's top distributors in the world, handling truck load quantities of Seeley's Stoneware Slip and Stoneware Clay. Dogwood Ceramic Supply does not handle all of Seeley's products, just those that we deem appropriate for our market and customers. The Dogwood Ceramic Supply website showcases those products that we routinely stock in bulk quantities for professional and hobby customers. Some limited porcelain supplies related to the doll industry, such as porcelain firing props, are also stocked but not featured on this website. Dogwood Ceramic Supply does not handle dedicated doll products such as wigs, shoes, and doll molds.
