Spectrum Nova Stoneware Dipping Glazes
Cone 4/6 High Fire Glazes
Spectrum's premixed Nova Series Stoneware Dipping Glazes for Cone 4-6 Stoneware and porcelain clay are packaged in 1 gallon mini buckets for ease of use. The entire series of Spectrum Nova Stoneware Glazes are lead free and all of the glazes, with the exception of the crackle glaze, are food-safe when properly fired in oxidation (in electric kilns) to Cone 4 to 6 to achieve a continuous vitrified surface after firing. Dogwood Ceramic Supply actively stocks the entire line of Spectrum's Nova Series Stoneware Dipping Glazes in the 1 gallon mini-buckets. To avoid problems with the product settling due to warehouse age, the Spectrum Nova Glazes are also available on Dogwood Ceramic Supply's monthly order with Spectrum in 5 gallon buckets for the serious production studio.

Health Labels:
2 indicates glaze is toxic in the liquid as the glaze contains excessive levels
of copper or other metals. Glaze is food-safe when properly fired.
3 Glaze is certified AP Non-Toxic, however glaze may invite bacteria growth due to glaze fissures. Not recommended for surfaces which contact food or drink.
5 Dinnerware safe, contains no lead. Contains encapsulated cadmium pigment. Certified AP Non-Toxic and conforms to ASTM D-4236.
Product Usage:
The Spectrum Nova Glazes are premixed for ease of customer usage. The Nova Glazes may slightly settle in the bucket during shipping
and storage, but the product should readily remix with little effort by the customer using just a wooden or plastic spoon. Many of the Spectrum Nova
Glazes are reactive glazes, similar to Spectrum 1100 Series and Duncan Renaissance Glazes,
and as such care should be taken to minimize the product at the bottom of vertical pieces to keep the glaze from flowing and attaching the ware to the
kiln shelf.
