Mold Straps

    Heavy Duty Mold Straps, also known as mold belts, have a color coded polyester webbing and easily assembled quick release rust resistant metal buckle.  For moderate sized molds (above 20 lbs or holding more than 1 quart of slip) mold straps are recommended over rubber bands.  Often only 1 or 2 mold straps are required for even the largest molds.  Mold Straps are sold in packages of 10 straps of one size per package.

Threading Instructions:
    The white side of strap in the diagram is the side that faces away from the mold. The gray side of the strap in the diagram is the side that is against mold. Follow diagram & snap buckle in place.
    Compared to the metal buckle, mold plaster is rather soft.  Insert a small sheet of corrugated cardboard under the metal buckle to protect the mold from damage.
