2008 Pricing |
| We are gathering data for 2008 pricing. Again this year we will have
a price change effective the middle of January. 2008 pricing will be
effective on all orders received on or after January 14, 2008. The price
increase for 2008 will be higher than normal. It may be as high as 8% on
some products. We have experienced large increases this year mostly from
raw materials. Insulated firebrick increased 24% so far this year.
Nickel costs have increased stainless steel by 46% and Nichrome element
wire about 40%. We expect ceramic fiber costs to increase about 10-15%
in 2008. Next year's pricing will be sent to all distributors before the
end of the year. |

Paragon Announcement
Improved Production |
Less than 1 year ago, Paragon installed
a Plasma Cutter to speed up the
production of kilns. Today, Paragon is
announcing the SECOND Plasma Cutter has been installed to speed up the
production of kilns even further. And the guys outback in the
factory have been hard at work trying to properly use the second plasma
cutter. One objective has been to increase the inventory of
Paragon kilns that are ready for immediate shipment:

Having kilns in stock is really just a minor achievement compared to the
fact that Paragon has been able to reduce the production time of both
custom and standard kilns by using the second plasma cutter. |

Instructional Videos | | We are proud to
announce we added instructional videos to our website. We have about
twenty videos completed and available with many more coming in the next
few weeks. Subjects covered include replacing a digital controller,
changing the thermocouple on the SC-2, and loading a kiln. These can be

January 2007 | Paragon's Annual Price Increase | Paragon's annual price went into effective on January 15th. The increase ranged from 4 to 8%, with the exact % depending upon kiln size and design. |
Santa Claus Makes Early Delivery to Paragon Kilns | | Paragon News Letter: November 7, 2006 | NEW PLASMA CUTTER: To speed up the delivery time of Paragon kilns, we have just acquired a high-capacity plasma cutter for our sheet metal department. We will continue to use the computerized punch presses, which you’ve seen if you have visited the Mesquite plant. The computer-controlled plasma cutter is quieter and uses electrically charged, high temperature gas to cut through the steel. It will take several months to begin seeing shorter turn-around times for kiln orders. It takes time to convert the AutoCAD drawings for the new machine. |
