If you have ever broken an object loading it in a top loading kiln you already understand the idea for a front loading kiln. Paragon Front loading kilns allows ease of access for loading large sculptural works or other difficult to load items.
The easy to load Paragon Front Loading Pottery Kilns will fire to Cone 10 and figuratively beyond due their thick insulation and high amperage elements. The insulation on these kilns is so thick that on a cost per cubic foot basis the Paragon Front Loading Pottery Kilns are Paragon's most economical kilns for electrical consumption, however, Paragon's front loading kilns are more expensive than traditional top loading kilns due to use thick wall bricks and structural steel needed for the complex kiln design.

All of the Paragon Top Loading Ceramic and Pottery Kilns sold by Dogwood Ceramic Supply are rated to Cone 10. The kilns grouped together under the Top Loading Kiln classification is the widest selection of kilns produced by Paragon. These kilns are more economical than a comparable sized Paragon front loading pottery kilns yet these kilns sacrifice nothing in quality or firing capability. Paragon's Top Loading Pottery Kilns include the ultra high performance Paragon Viking Kilns and all of the Energy Miser 3" inch brick kilns from the standard Paragon TnF Series of Kilns plus all of the Paragon Big Oval Kilns. Because of the Cone 10 rating, each of these kilns is perfect for stoneware, porcelain and of course low fire earthenware.

The Pearl Kilns by Paragon feature a clamshell design to increase the functionality and performance of the kilns. The clamshell design allows for easy loading and assembly of glass projects at eye level while the voluminous top section of the kiln allows for heat retention during firing stages when the kiln chamber may be opened.

Paragon's Professional Glass Annealing Kilns are designed as either Front-Loaders (PAF) or Top-Loading (PAT). The front loaders are especially attractive to studios with limited space as multiple kilns can be stacked one on top of another to increase the annealing capacity of the studio with out requiring additional floor space.
