    Without any doubt, the TnF Series of Paragon Kilns are the best selling kilns in the Paragon Kiln lineup.  All of the kilns in the Paragon TnF Kiln Series are Top Loading Kilns designed specifically for usage with Ceramics or Pottery.  Each of the Paragon TnF Kilns featured on this webpage carries the Energy Miser rating as the kilns have 3" wall bricks for increased energy efficiency to reduce electrical costs.  One added benefit of the 3" Energy Miser bricks, is that the increased efficiency allows each of these Paragon TnF Kilns to be rated to fire to Cone 10 (2350˚F).  While not every customer will fire to Cone 10, the ability of the kiln to fire to Cone 10 translates into longer lasting elements as the kiln does not have to struggle to reach lesser temperatures.

    The heart of the Paragon TnF Kiln is the 12 Key Sentry 2.0 Digital Controller manufactured by Orton and warranted for a full 2½ years.  The simplicity of operating the 12 Key Sentry 2.0 Digital Controller also provides the foundation for the Paragon TnF name in that the TnF in the name refers to Touch-n-Fire, as the Paragon TnF Kilns can be simply operated with just a few key strokes.

6" Tile Racks shown in the Paragon TnF 27-3 Short and Wide Kiln.  The Short and Wide kiln can hold a total of 16 6" Tile Racks, each Tile Rack holds 9 tiles or a total of 144 6" tiles per kiln load.     Using a deeper kiln, such as the 29" deep Paragon Viking 28 or TnF 24-3 would not increase the tiles per load as the individual tile racks are approximately 10¼" tall.

The Professional Kiln

   The Paragon TnF 24-3 Kiln has 7.10 cubic feet of interior volume (interior is 22 ½" wide by 29" deep) and has been the top choice for schools and production studios for many years.  In 2006, Paragon redesigned the TnF 24-3, adding a blank brick to the top of the kiln.  The blank brick at the top of the kiln walls is less susceptible to damage during loading than a standard grooved element brick found in other brands of kilns.  The use of blank brick at the top of the kiln also allows the Paragon TnF 24-3 Kiln to be 2" taller than other brands of kiln, thus increasing the quantity of ceramic or pottery wares to be fired while also allowing easy user replacement of the brick should it become damaged during usage.

2012 Paragon TnF 23-3 Kiln

The Studio Kiln

    The Paragon TnF 23-3 Studio Kiln is the ideal kiln produced by Paragon for the small studio or small high school classroom. With 5.10 cubic feet of interior volume (interior is 22 ½" wide by 22 ¼" deep) the Paragon TnF 23-3 is perfect for the small production studio or active hobby potter who does not desire to throw wide bowls.

    The Paragon TnF 23-3 is virtually identical to its larger brother the TnF 27-3 including the 35" above ground easy loading depth, LiteLid for ease of opening the heavy kiln lid and of course the Sentry 2.0 Digital Controller.  There are only differences between the TnF 23-3 and the TnF 27-3.  Obviously the width of the 23-3 is narrower than the TnF 27-3.  And the Paragon TnF 23-3 is one piece construction as the exterior width of the kiln is narrow enough to enter through standard doorways without being disassembled.

2012 Paragon TnF 82-3 Kiln

The Hobby Kiln

    The Paragon TnF 82-3 is the traditional hobby size kiln produced by Paragon.  The TnF 82-3 has a moderate internal volume (interior is 16 ½" wide by 22 ¼" deep) that is large enough to fire most cast greenware items, such as Christmas Trees or canister sets, or hand thrown pottery with the exception of large platters and bowls.

    The 35" above ground easy loading depth of the TnF 82-3 is identical to the larger volume TnF 23-3 and TnF 27-3 and the TnF 82-3 includes the same Sentry 2.0 Digital Controller as the much larger Paragon Kilns.  Wiring requirements are identical between these 3 kilns, which makes upgrading to a larger kiln at a later date much easier.  The only significant difference (besides internal volume) of the TnF 82-3 versus the larger kilns is the lid of the TnF 82-3 is not equipped with Paragon's spring loaded counter balanced LiteLid for ease of opening the kiln lid and the kiln is a one piece construction because it will obviously fit through narrow doorways.

2012 Paragon TnF 1613-3 Kiln

The Doll Kiln

    The Paragon TnF 1613-3 started it's life as a custom kiln designed and manufactured by Paragon for Seeley's. Seeley's goal was to have a high fire kiln capable of handling two complete porcelain dolls without the need for very high amperage electrical circuits found on much larger kilns. The TnF 1613-3 was the produced to meet Seeley's goals, hence the nickname "The Doll Kiln". Today the TnF 1613-3 is considered by Dogwood Ceramic Supply as the perfect entry level High Fire Kiln. Capable of firing up to Cone 10 and equipped with the same Sentry 2.0 Controller as the kiln's bigger brothers, the TnF 1613-3 is found in many hobby studios as their entry kiln, or even a backup kiln to handle overflow and firing of single pieces in storefront and production studios.

    The Xpress 1613-3 is a standard TnF 1613-3 equipped with the simpler Sentry Xpress 3-key Controller.

Notes:

    The Paragon TnF Kilns are popular for pickup at the Dogwood Ceramic Supply Showroom and Warehouse.  Please make note of the shipping crates listed with each kiln.  The size of the shipping crate is especially important for the Paragon TnF 27-3 as the wider kilns may not fit in the bed of a small pickup truck, especially if a bed liner has been installed.

    Kiln customers routinely firing to Cone 10, Firing to Cone 6 every day or firing very heavily loaded kilns every day should also consider the Paragon Viking Kilns.  The Viking Kilns have 25% more power than comparable size TnF Kilns and are better capable of handling the heavy and high temperature loads.
